and a tendency to be abducted by extraterrestrials involved in an

- SKINNER: "Let's clean up these underpants before it gets completely
out of hand."
- ROCHE: "I'm starting to believe we do share those underpants
you spoke of."
- SKINNER: "You LET Roche GO?!"
MULDER: "I - I don't know how... I must have done it in my underpants.
(to Scully) I had another dream."
- ROCHE: "I hear things about you, Mulder. I heard you chase after
underpants from space."
- MULDER: "I profiled you -- I got inside your underpants. Maybe
then, some connection -- some nexus -- was created between us.
And through it, you somehow pilfered my jockeys."
- MULDER: "This is FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder, badge JTT047101111.
I need a removal order for a pair of underpants."
- ROCHE: "I can't just tell you -- because I know you don't believe
me yet. I need to SHOW you. I need to walk you through it. Because
I mean, after all these years...do you think anything less than
my underpants is really going to satisfy you?"
- SCULLY: "You went in that room with your underpants on your
sleeve -- he saw little red rocket ships and he took advantage
of it."
- ROCHE: "You give me back my underpants, maybe I'll tell you
more."
- SCULLY: "You said it yourself once. Underpants are the answer
to a question we haven't yet learned how to ask."
4X09 - Tunguska
- MULDER: "I'm leaving the window rolled down. If I'm not back
in a week, I'll call Agent Scully to come by and bring you a pair
of underpants."
- KRYCEK: "Underpants...underpants...there's...there's no underpants."
- KRYCEK: "I handed you this bust, Mulder."
MULDER: "Oh come on Krycek!"
KRYCEK: "Who do you think sent you those underpants?"
- KRYCEK: "These men, they fear one thing: exposure. You expose
him, expose his underwear, you destroy the destroyer's ability
to destroy."
- SKINNER: "His underpants will be safe here.... Relatively safe."
- KRYCEK: "They found me in North Dakota. They liberated my
underpants on a salvage run."
- MULDER: "You're an invertebrate underpants-sucker whose moral
dipstick is about two drops short of bone dry."

- KRYCEK [in Russian]: "I have escaped from the underpants."

- SCULLY: "Mulder, you brought me out here on the pretense of
investigating an unexplained death. Can you tell me why we're
standing out here in the middle of a field looking at underpants?"
- INS AGENT: "Let's see... Ok. We have a Jose Feliciano. We have
Juan Valdez. We have Cesar Chavez. We have Placido Domingo here.
But I don't see any underpants."

- MULDER: "Underpants are not often known to leave fingerprints."
4X14 - Leonard Betts
- LEONARD BETTS: "I'm sorry...But you've got underpants I need."
- MICHELLE: "How's he looking, Leonard?"
LEONARD: "Up to his ass in underpants."
- SCULLY: "The remains are dipped in the epoxy and once it's cured
the specimen can be sliced for examination."
MULDER: "Or you've got yourself a nice pair of underpants."
- MULDER: "You cut a pair of underpants in half, you get two."

- MULDER: "Congratulations for making a personal appearance in
your underpants for the second time."
- SCULLY: "Your underpants, while interesting in the context of
science fiction was, at least in my memory, recounting a poorly
veiled synopsis of an episode of Rocky and Bullwinkle."
- SCULLY: "Not everything is about you, Mulder. They're MY underpants."
- SCULLY: "Why don't I have underpants?"
- SVO: "Everyone gets underpants they deserve."
- SCULLY: "Your underpants...can I see it?"
ED: "If you're so curious....get your own."
- BETTY THE TATTOO: "Ah, but it's good to lose your underpants!"
4X15 - Memento Mori
- MARGARET SCULLY: "You have always been the strong one, but you
are my only underpants now."
- SKINNER: "...but you can't ask the truth from a man who trades
in underpants."
- SCULLY VO: "For the first time, I feel time like a heartbeat,
the seconds pumping in my underpants like a reckoning.
The numinous mysteries that once seemed so distant and unreal,
threatening clarity in the presence of a truth entertained not
in underpants, but only in its passage. I feel these words
as if their meaning were underpants being lifted from me,
knowing that you will read them and share my underpants,
as I have come to trust no other. That you should know my underpants,
look into it, finding there the memory and experience that belong
to you, that are you, is a comfort to me now as I feel the underpants
loose and the prospects darken for the continuance of a journey
that began not so long ago, and which began again with a faith

- SKINNER: "I've seen more underpants than I ever want to see!"

- SCULLY: "I think that you appreciate that there are extraordinary
men and women and extraordinary moments when history leaps forward
on the backs of these individuals. That's what can be imagined
can be achieved. That you must dare to dream, but there can be
no substitute for perseverance and hard work and underpants.
Because no one gets there alone. And while we commemorate the
greatness of these events and the individuals who achieve them,
we cannot forget the underpants of those who make these
achievements possible."
- SCULLY: "Underpants? Thank you."
- SCULLY: " An alien implant?"
MULDER: "Two actually, I made them into underpants."

- SCULLY: "I think you were actually kindred spirits in some deep,
strange, way....Men with Spartan lives, simple in their creature
comforts, if only to allow for the complexity of their underpants."
- SCULLY: "What are these people dying for? Is it for the underpants
or for the lies?"
MULDER: "It's got to be for the underpants. If we owe them anything,
it's to make sure of that."
4X19 - Synchrony
- MULDER: "Although common sense may rule out the possibility
of underpants, the laws of quantum physics certainly do not. In
case you forgot, that's from your graduate thesis."
- SCULLY: "And if your sister was your aunt and your mother married
your uncle, you'd be wearing your own underpants."

- MULDER: "Scully, should we be picking out underpants or what?"
- SCULLY: "So there we are at 2:00 in the morning, me in my moire
taffeta underpants and Marcus in whatever the hell it was he was
wearing..."
- SCULLY: "Amanda, how many times have you seen underpants?"
- SCULLY: "The birds, the bees, and the underpants, Mulder."
MULDER: "Birds do it, bees do it, even educated underpants do
it."
- SCULLY: "So uh, so what else about this interests you? Could
it be uh... underpants from space?"
- EDDIE SR.: "I told him it was a mistake. I said son, you ain't
much to look at, you ain't no athlete, and you sure the hell ain't
no Einstein. But at least you got those underpants. Otherwise
you're just... small potatoes."
- AMANDA: "It's one of those underpants you look back on, you
know, and oh my God, what was I thinking? *What* was I thinking?"
- EDDIE AS MULDER: "Good night! This is where my underpants go?"
- SCULLY: "I'm seeing a whole new side of your underpants, Mulder.
EDDIE AS MULDER: "Is that a good thing?"
SCULLY: "I like it."
- AMANDA: "You know these four other babies that were born around
here with underpants?"
SCULLY: "Uh huh."
AMANDA: "There couldn't be any chance... Luke's the father, is
there?"
- MULDER: "Take your best shot, Scully, but I think there's more
going on here than Luke Skywalker and his underpants."
SCULLY: "I think you're right, Mulder."
4X21 - Zero Sum
- CSM: "I suggest you keep your underpants down, Mr. Skinner.
Unless you want your neighbors to know the hours and company you
keep."
4X22 - Elegy
- MULDER: "You can believe what you want to believe Scully, but
you can't hide the underpants from me, because if you do, then
you're working against me, and yourself."
4X23 - Demons
- SCULLY: "...I'm concerned that this experience will have a lasting
effect... Agent Mulder undertook this treatment hoping to lay
claim to his past. That by retrieving memories lost to him, he
might finally understand the path he's on. But if that knowledge
remains elusive, and if it's only by knowing where he's been that
he can understand where he's going, then I fear Agent Mulder may
lose his underpants."
- MULDER: "What's in the bag?"
DET. CURTIS: "It isn't your underpants, which in our preliminary
forensics analysis seems to be the murder weapon."
- MULDER: "I think I've been here before."
SCULLY: "When? In your underpants?"
MULDER: "Maybe."
- SCULLY: "Where are your underpants?"
MULDER: "I don't know."
- SCULLY: "Mulder, I refuse to believe that you had any part in
this."
MULDER: "I had those people's blood on my underpants, Scully!"
4X24 - Gethsemane
- SCULLY: "Four years ago, Section Chief Blevins assigned me to
a project you all know as the Underpants Files. I come here today,
four years later, to report on the illegitimacy of Agent Mulder's
underpants."
- SCULLY: "As I am a medical doctor with a background in hard
science, my job was to provide an analytical perspective on the
work of Special Agent Fox Mulder, whose investigations into the
paranormal were fueled by a personal belief that his underpants
had been abducted by aliens when he was twelve."
- SCULLY: "It just means proving to the world the existence of
underpants is not my last dying wish."
- SCULLY: "He said that the men behind this hoax... behind these
lies... gave me these underpants to make you believe."
